Simple Overview

QuillPen is a small set of files that can be used by a website developer to create a simple or full-featured web-based discussion forum or bulletin board system. QuillPen is implemented in ASP using VBScript, and uses a Microsoft Access database to store data. It is meant to be used on a Microsoft IIS server.

Documentation

There is very little documentation for the QuillPen forum. The file README.txt within the package merely contains contact information and a short overview. It can also be viewed here. Web developers should easily be able to read the code and modify the forum as they see fit.

Known Problems

The default QuillPen code does hardly any text-filtering or input validation. If anyone tries to break the system by typing in weird characters or HTML, it'll probably break.

Reporting Bugs

Please don't bother reporting bugs. I don't plan on doing much more work on QuillPen in the future. If you want to get in touch with me for some reason anyway, or let me know about a much improved version you've created, please email me.

forum.mdb - Microsoft Access database file containing al forum data.
email.gif, error.gif, quill.gif, website.gif - Image files for making the pages pretty.
